THE PLOT TWIST EFFECT
For the final high school exam I had to decide on a theme inherent to cinema to study in depth and create a video that would illustrate every aspect. My regular topic at the time was Christopher Nolan, director of Inception, but the professor told me to broaden my horizons on the new possibilities that cinema offered me.
Per l'esame finale delle scuole superiori dovevo decidere un tema inerente al cinema da approfondire e crearci un video che ne illustrasse ogni aspetto. Il mio argomento fisso all'epoca era Christopher Nolan, regista di Inception, ma il professore mi disse di ampliare i miei orizzonti su nuove possibilità che il cinema mi offriva.
So I looked around for a couple of weeks until one day, reading the back of a book dedicated to TV series, I noticed that it was talking about the plot twist. I had never thought about it, but in fact this aspect can radically change the course of a film, sometimes resulting in the element of greatest interest at the end of the vision.
Cosi mi sono guardato attorno per un paio di settimane finché un giorno, leggendo il retro di un libro dedicato alle serie tv, ho notato che si parlava del colpo di scena. Non ci avevo mai pensato, ma in effetti questo aspetto può cambiare radicalmente il corso di un film, risultando a volte anche l'elemento di maggiore interesse alla fine della visione.
From that moment I searched for any page, book and video that talked about it and after six months of research, writing and editing I took the video uploaded below, never regretting my final choice.
Da quel momento ho cercato qualsiasi pagina, libro e video che ne parlasse e dopo sei mesi di ricerca, scrittura e montaggio ne ho tratto il video caricato di seguito, non pentendomi mai della mia scelta finale.
